Bharat Electronics uses E-Lock's signing solution to digitally sign POs and other documents

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) is an aerospace and defence company owned by the Indian government. BEL was generating Purchase Orders (POs) through their systems and printing and signing them manually before distributing it to their vendors / contractors. This process involved a lot of time and effort. BEL wanted to reduce time and cost involved in this process and sign and circulate the POs in a secure way.

This was accomplished with E-Lock's desktop based digital signing software called PDFeSigner. PDFeSigner is installed on the employees machine across BEL and the signatories are able to digitally sign all the POs using their digital certificates in USB tokens and email them to the vendors / contractors in one go. The signed files can be viewed and verified using Adobe Reader without having the need of any other verification utility. This solution streamlines their business processes, reduces expenses and efforts, expedites delivery cycles and improves efficiency.

E-Lock releases Central Credential solution (mobiSigner + ProSigner), an admin-controlled solution to create, store and manage credentials centrally.

E-Lock a global provider of digital signature solutions, has released Windows based, Central Credential Solution (mobiSigner + ProSigner). Organizations can now create and manage digital credentials at single central location, which can be used with ProSigner for electronic signing.

Central Credential Solution (mobiSigner + ProSigner) is a complete software solution. As it is administrator controlled it ensures complete security of the user credentials. It allows organizations to do the prior due diligence of the users before approving the credentials for signing which is mandatory by many governmental laws and regulations.

Mr. Aniruddha Shrotri, CTO E-Lock, said, "This solution is a combination of extra security for credential management and easy access of credentials to users for signing. mobiSigner - a server side solution and ProSigner - a desktop signing solution are paired with each other. mobiSigner allows administrator to manage user credentials at central location and ProSigner allows users to access their respective credentials for signing from client machine."

mobiSigner can take input of user information from organization’s present LDAP (Active Directory) or through a CSV file. Solution’s admin console allows administrator to create, store and manage user credentials centrally. Administrator can approve and grant signing rights to listed users as well as can disable the same.

ProSigner, on a client side, uses the credentials from central location to electronically sign the files on the user’s desktop. Users can create graphical handwritten signature image using option provided in ProSigner and upload it to central credential server, to be associated with their credentials.

This solution allows users to use ProSigner as efficiently as ever before, only introducing the security feature of credential management, which is a major concern for most of the organizations.

This new version support Digital signing and verification through latest versions of browsers like Internet Explorer version 9, Firefox version 4 and also includes the added support for Chrome. Colosa continues its commitment to improving both efficiency and security in enterprise workflow management by adding industry leading digital signature capabilities to ProcessMaker. Colosa has teamed up with DC based E-Lock, a global provider of electronic signature solutions, to create an integration which allows customers to use mobiSigner digital signatures with the ProcessMaker’s Enterprise Edition. ProcessMaker customers can now add true digital signatures in their workflows. E-Lock’s mobiSigner will be a feature offered exclusively for ProcessMaker Enterprise Edition customers.

Thanks to the mobiSigner, ProcessMaker users can now design online forms using a new field type called Digital Signature Authentication Field, which will prompt a user to digitally sign a form before passing the case to a subsequent user. A user that wants to digitally sign a form must first authenticate against the E-Lock mobiSigner certified digital signature database provided with the mobiSigner software. Besides signing on-line forms inside ProcessMaker, mobiSigner can also be used to digitally sign PDFs that are dynamically generated as part of a ProcessMaker Workflow.

“The addition of mobiSigner digital signatures also provides a new level of confidence and security for enterprise clients deploying ProcessMaker for mission critical end-to-end business processes such as credit authorizations, loan approvals, government licensing, and much more,” explained Hugo Loza, ProcessMaker Product Manager.

The integration is available in version 1.8 or later of ProcessMaker and works with version 1.0 of E-Lock mobiSigner. Enterprise Edition trial customers of Processmaker will also be able to test this functionality in the ProcessMaker Enterprise Edition 30 day cloud trial.

E-Lock Adds Adobe-compatible Third-party Time Stamp Support to Solutions

E-Lock, a global provider of digital signature solutions, has added new features to its ProSigner and SuperSigner SDK solutions. The enhanced version of ProSigner and SuperSigner SDK will now support Adobe-compatible third party time stamping support for PDF documents. This will allow recipients to verify time stamp of digitally signed and time stamped documents through Adobe Reader.

The add-on component of ProSigner, the imageSigner, will also support third party time stamping of TIFF documents. This new version (7.7.1.0) of ProSigner will carry forward all the utilities provided by the ProSigner 7.7.

Sharing more on this, Mr. Aniruddha Shrotri, CTO and Co-founder, E-Lock, said, “The Adobe-compatible third party time stamping support with E-Lock solutions will help our customers easily verify time stamp through Adobe Reader.”

On the other side, the newer version (4.3.0.0) of SuperSigner SDK will support higher hash algorithms (SHA256, 384 & 512) for more security. “This higher hash algorithms support is aimed at providing our customers with the most advanced technology for greater security,” added Mr. Shrotri.

E-Lock ProSigner is desktop digital signature software that allows users to apply legally enforceable digital signatures to any electronic document / file. It supports applications like MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and allows user to sign documents within these applications. The new version of Bulk Signer enables users to create multiple signing profiles that can run simultaneously. E.g.: If an organization needs to issue different types of documents like purchase orders, e-invoices, statements etc. signed by different signers, it can set multiple profiles, by designating the folders, signature placement and digital certificates of the respective authorized signatories. This way the respective documents will keep on getting signed simultaneously at regular intervals, without any manual intervention. This enables organizations to sign multiple types of bulk documents in much lesser time (Bulk Signer signs approx. 1000 files in 86 seconds). Signed files are maintained in PKCS#7 format and the software supports signing with digital certificates stored on machine, smart card, e-token or HSM.

ProSigner is an off the shelf e-signature software, that enables Organizations as well as Individuals to add electronic signature capabilities to their documents.

The latest version of ProSigner supports applying password-based e-signatures in PDF files, along with MS Word and Excel. The eSignature in PDF files is Adobe compatible, which can be verified through Adobe reader. It can sign and mail the PDF files in one go, and also supports signing of PDF/A files.

E-mark component in the ProSigner family of products allows users to create the password-protected credentials with eSignature using mouse which can be used to sign the Word, Excel and PDF files. The new version can sign word documents in bulk.

ProSigner can also be used in MS SharePoint environment. Users can sign a document which can be opened from a SharePoint document library (Word or Excel), on saving the document back to the document library one can check if the document is esigned and trigger a workflow in SharePoint.
